WeR1 Ministries - Sabbath Sessions

We R 1 Ministry, a newly-formed initiative from our church's Family Life Department is starting up a new program: Sabbath Sessions.

What is Sabbath Sessions?

A programme focused upon the challenges confronting adults in their daily lives. Possible topics to be discussed are Depression, Christianity & Sexuality, Backbiting/ Backstabbing in the church, Gender roles and Loneliness. Sabbath Sessions uses hypothetical scenarios, case studies and current affairs to look at a range of themes. Group work, dramatizations, debates, video clips and panelled-discussions are all central how we delve into the issues faced by grown folks, especially those who are followers of Christ!

What can I expect?

• Frank & interesting dialogue with programme leaders who aim to ‘keep it real.’
• Pray sessions and inspirational sermons.
• Thought-provoking activities that explore issues not always openly discussed in church.
• Friendly and welcoming fellowship.
• Adults only.
• Uplifting praise & worship.
• A crèche for parents with children aged 2-5yrs (limited places) and on a first come, first served basis. (The crèche is pending and can be cancelled at short notice-apologies in advance)
• For those with teens they can attend our youth bible study, the young person must be 11yrs+.
• Sign language interpreters for those with a hearing impairment/disability. (Must be booked via email)

What do I have to do?

Actively promote the programme to your friends and family via word of mouth.
